Gladys Wanga Summoned By DCI Over ‘Offensive Conduct’

Homabay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga has been summoned by Setim Kandie of the Serious Crimes Unit based at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) over offensive conduct and breaches of peace.

Kandie of rank SSP has said that the legislator has information that could be of assistance to the said offenses.

The NASA legislator is set to appear on Thursday.

She was previously summoned by the National Cohesion and Integration Commissioner (NCIC) over crude remarks directed at President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto.

She alleged that the Jubilee leaders were responsible for the cholera outbreak experienced in the country.

”Na tumeona Uhuru anamangamanga amelewa mpaka anajikuna matako hana heshima kwa wakenya, huyo hana heshima hata kidogo. Hana heshima hata kidogo. Anajikuna rasa halafu anasalimia Ruto. Wanaleta kipindupindu.”

Ms Wanga defied the order because she, according to her lawyer Otiende Amollo, had already left town.
