Gor Mahia are back on top of the league following a hard fought 1-0 win over a stubborn Bandari FC at the Moi Stadium, Kisumu on Wednesday.

Rwandan forward Jacques Tuyisenge was the toast of the day for K’Ogalo – netting the lone goal in the added minutes of the second half to secure the win.

The goal, which Tuyisenge scored with a greatly taken header, came almost immediately after referee Davies Omweno carded Bandari goalkeeper Faruk Shikalo for time wasting.

Previously the defending champions had only managed two points from two games against Kakamega Homeboyz and Ulinzi Stars.

The win propels Gor to first on the log on 49 points, one clear of Sofapaka, with three matches at hand.
