Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko made an impromptu visit to Pumwani Maternity Hospital after the public allegedly made a report that the hospital switched off the machines causing infants to die.

The governor discovered that in the records only one infant had died but upon investigation, they discovered 11 infant bodies some of which were hidden in a paper bag that had been stashed under a table.

The person in charge said that the bodies had stayed in the ward from Friday, claims which the governor trashed asking why dead bodies were staying in the ward for a whole weekend.
