Haitam Aleesami is a Norwegian professional footballer of Moroccan descent, born on 31 July 1991 in Oslo.
He primarily plays as a left-back but has also featured as a centre-back. He currently represents Eliteserien club Bodø/Glimt, where he wears the number 5 shirt after joining in March 2025.
Aleesami is a former Norway international who earned 31 caps between 2015 and 2020 without scoring.
He began his football journey in the Oslo area and has built a career spanning several European leagues while maintaining strong ties to Norwegian football.
Siblings
Haitam’s younger brother is Ayoub Aleesami, born on 9 February 1996.
Ayoub is also a professional defender who plays in the Eliteserien for KFUM Oslo.
The brothers share Moroccan heritage and followed similar developmental paths through clubs such as Holmlia and Skeid.
Ayoub later played for Fredrikstad, a club where Haitam had previously featured.
In 2024 the pair played together for the first time at senior level when Haitam signed for KFUM Oslo, where Ayoub was already established.
Haitam’s subsequent move to Bodø/Glimt in 2025 left Ayoub at KFUM.

Aleesami’s youth career took him through Nordstrand, Holmlia and Skeid.
He broke into Skeid’s first team in 2010 while the club competed in the Norwegian Second Division and was named the club’s best young player in 2011.
