HELB Issues Update to Suppliers as Registration Opens
The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has invited eligible firms to apply for registration as suppliers for the financial years 2026/2027 and 2027/2028.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, HELB said it is updating its Register of Suppliers for the two financial years.
The institution invited eligible and interested firms to submit applications for registration under the relevant categories of goods, works and services.
HELB said existing suppliers in its database who wish to continue being considered for procurement opportunities must reapply and provide updated company information.
Interested and eligible firms are required to complete the supplier registration process and upload all the required documents.
HELB also clarified that firms already registered under the National Treasury’s Access to Government Procurement Opportunities (AGPO) Programme will not be required to register afresh with the institution.
“Suppliers already registered under the National Treasury’s AGPO Programme are not required to register afresh with HELB. They only need to submit the prescribed supporting documents to express interest in doing business with HELB and to be included in the HELB supplier database,” the notice reads.
HELB said all applications must be submitted by October 13, 2026, at 11am.
