High Court Requests CJ Maraga To Constitute Three Judge Bench For NIIMS Case

High Court judge Weldon Korir has requested the Chief Justice David Maraga to constitute a three man bench  to hear the case  on the new registration of persons by the Ministry of Interior.

He said that the case touched on serious constitutional matters which he said should be heard by a bench.

Civil rights organization file the petition asking that the process that the interior ministry said will start on April 2 to be suspended

The petitioners include the Nubians Society, Kenya National Human Rights and Kenya Commission of Human Rights.

The senators had asked for the suspension f the process  stating that the the cost of the process would pinch the common mwananchi.

Nairobi senator Johnson  Sakaja said that the process should be suspended until the case that had been filed had been concluded.

They said that the ‘Huduma Namba’ would duplication and that having Kenyans information at one place would make them vulnerable to cyber attacks
