    Homabay Deputy Sergeant At Arms Charged For Stealing County Mace

    Homa Bay County’s Deputy Sergeant At Arms, Idah Adhiambo Arodi is facing Charges of stealing the county assembly mace.

    Ms  Arodi was arrested on Sunday and brought before the Homa Bay Principal Magistrate Susan Ndegwa on Wednesday. She was charged for stealing the county mace which costs upto KSh800,000.

    The Deputy sergeant at arms denied the charges of stealing the mace together with other people who were not in court. Her charge was later changed to handling of stolen property.

    She denied both charges and was released on a Sh 200,000 bond and surety of the same amount.

    Arodi’s case will be mentioned on November 12, and heard on November 26.
