Homeboyz Radio has suspended Mtaani show host, Didge for insensitive remarks made about the horrid murder of Moi University sixth year medicine student Ivy Wangechi by her alleged stalker.

During the late night show hosted by Didge and Miss Katiwa, the former noted that the deceased was killed because she was disloyal to her attacker who has been identified as Naftali Njahi.

Earlier reports indicated that Wangechi was dating her assailant and in the course of their relationship infected him with the HIV virus.

She is also said to have cheated on him after receiving gifts from him. Apparently, Njahi who was attacked by a mob after the attack, had been paying her school fees.

But according to her friends, Wangechi’s assailant was a stalker. He has been seeking to date her but she was allegedly seeing a classmate.

Homeboyz management has however apologized for the insensitive comments made in poor taste. The show has also been removed from the schedule pending further internal investigations.

“While the show is off air we will take necessary steps to ensure that such a lapse doesn’t happen again. This includes strengthening the production and editorial process,” group managing director said in a statement.

“Once again we apologize to our listeners and the wider community as a whole. We remain committed to providing cutting edge content without offence.”
