How to Add Speaker Notes in PowerPoint

Speaker notes in PowerPoint allow presenters to include additional information, reminders, or talking points that are not visible to the audience during a presentation. They can help you stay organized, remember key details, and deliver your presentation more confidently. Learning how to add speaker notes in PowerPoint can make your presentations smoother and more professional.

  1. Open Your PowerPoint Presentation

Start by opening the presentation where you want to add speaker notes.

Select the slide for which you want to create notes.

  1. Display the Notes Pane

At the bottom of the PowerPoint window, you will find the Notes section.

If it is not visible, you can enable it from the View menu.

  1. Click in the Notes Section

Select the notes area beneath the slide.

This is where you can enter information that only you will see during the presentation.

  1. Type Your Speaker Notes

Enter the points, reminders, or additional details you want to reference while presenting.

Keep the notes clear and easy to read.

  1. Review Your Notes in Presenter View

PowerPoint’s Presenter View allows you to see your notes while the audience only sees the slide.

  1. Save the Presentation

After adding your notes, save the presentation to ensure they are not lost.
