Knowing how to check your cell number is useful if you have forgotten your number, are using a new SIM card, or need to give your number to someone. There are several simple ways to find your mobile number, including checking your phone settings, calling another phone, or using your mobile network’s number-checking service.

  1. Check Your Phone Settings

Your mobile number may be stored in your phone’s SIM or device settings.

On Android, open Settings and look for About Phone, SIM Status, or Phone Information. On an iPhone, open Settings, then select Phone and look for My Number.

  1. Call Another Phone

If you have airtime and your caller ID is enabled, call a nearby phone.

Your number should appear on the other person’s screen, allowing you to see and save it.

  1. Send a Text Message

You can also send an SMS or WhatsApp message to someone you know.

Ask the person to tell you the number that appears on their phone.

  1. Check Your SIM or Account Information

Your mobile number may be included on your SIM packaging, registration documents, or mobile network account.

Check any documents or account information you received when registering your SIM card.

  1. Contact Your Mobile Network

If you cannot find your number using the methods above, contact your mobile network’s customer service team.

You may need to provide identification or other account information before they can assist you.
