How To Create A Mind Map In Word

Creating a mind map is a great way to organize thoughts, brainstorm ideas, or plan projects visually. While there are specialized mind-mapping tools available, you can also create an effective mind map using Microsoft Word. - Open a Blank Document
Start by opening Microsoft Word on your computer.
- Go to File and select New.
- Choose Blank document to start fresh.
- It’s best to work on a clean page for a clear layout.
- Insert Shapes
To build your mind map, you’ll need to use shapes for the main idea and branches.
- Go to the Insert tab on the top menu.
- Click Shapes and choose an oval or rectangle for your central idea.
- Draw it in the middle of the page.
- Type your main idea inside the shape.
- Add Branches
Next, add branches coming out from your central idea.
- Go back to Insert > Shapes and select lines or arrows.
