How To Delete LinkedIn Profile

If you no longer use LinkedIn or want to remove your profile for privacy or professional reasons, you can permanently delete your account. Once deleted, your profile will no longer be visible to others, and your connections, messages, and endorsements will be lost. It’s a good idea to download a copy of your data before you proceed. Here is how to delete LinkedIn profile.
- Sign In to Your LinkedIn Account
Go to linkedin.com or open the LinkedIn app on your phone. Enter your login details to access your account.
- Access Account Settings
On the website, click on your profile icon at the top right, then select Settings & Privacy.
On the app, tap your profile picture, then tap Settings.
- Go to Account Preferences
In the Settings menu, find and click on Account preferences. Scroll down until you see Account management.
- Choose “Close Account”
Under Account management, select Close account. LinkedIn may ask you to give a reason for leaving. Choose an option that fits, or select “Other”.
- Confirm Your Choice
LinkedIn will ask you to re-enter your password to verify your identity. After confirming, click Close account. Your profile will be scheduled for deletion.
- Optional: Download a Copy of Your Data
Before deleting, go to Settings & Privacy > Data Privacy > Get a copy of your data to request an archive of your LinkedIn activity and profile details.
