Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Borax Solution

In a small bowl, mix ½ teaspoon of borax with ½ cup of warm water. Stir until the borax dissolves completely. If using contact lens solution instead of borax, skip this step.

  1. Mix the Glue and Water

In a separate bowl, pour 1 cup of clear glue and add ½ cup of water. Stir well until the mixture becomes smooth and runny. If you want to add color, mix in a few drops of food coloring and stir until evenly distributed. You can also add glitter or small beads at this stage.

  1. Combine the Solutions

Slowly add the borax solution (or contact lens solution) to the glue mixture, stirring continuously. As you mix, the slime will start to form. Keep stirring until it begins to thicken and pull away from the sides of the bowl.

  1. Adjust the Consistency

For a more watery, jiggly texture, add an extra ½ cup of water and mix thoroughly. If the slime is too thick, continue adding small amounts of water until you reach the desired consistency.

  1. Knead the Slime

Once the slime has formed, use your hands to knead and stretch it for about 2–3 minutes. This helps improve its texture and elasticity. If it feels too sticky, add a few more drops of borax solution or contact lens solution.

  1. Store and Play

Water slime is best stored in an airtight container to prevent it from drying out. It will stay fresh for about a week if properly sealed.
