Hiding Gridlines from the Entire Worksheet
If you want to remove gridlines across the entire sheet, Excel provides a built-in option:
- Open your Excel workbook and go to the Worksheet where you want to remove gridlines
- Click on the View tab in the top menu
- Under the Show group, uncheck the Gridlines box
This method hides gridlines instantly without affecting the data or formatting.
Removing Gridlines Using Page Layout
Another way to remove gridlines is through the Page Layout tab:
- Click on the Page Layout tab
- Locate the Sheet Options group
- Under Gridlines, uncheck the View option
This method works the same as the View tab but provides additional formatting options if needed.
Removing Gridlines by Changing Cell Fill Color
If you only want to remove gridlines from specific cells, you can do so by applying a background color:
