Blogger Robert Alai says he deserves the Head of State Commendation that he received from President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday at State House.

He says that he believes that he received the award for his exemplary, yet unique contributions to society, adding that it was a great honour.

Speaking to Citizen Tv, the blogger cum cyber activist intimated that he did not know that he was being considered for the award and that he only saw it in a gazette notice.

He said that Githeriman also deserved the award for portraying a unique trait by coming prepared to the voting queue .

He said that the president picked the most basic people for the award.

Asked whether he is still the same Robert who used to be a public defender, he said that his close friends can attest that he is still the same only that he changed his political alignment from Raila Odinga to Jubilee.

The blogger reiterated the fact there was one president who served the interests of Kenyans and evenly distributed resources to the country

He was accompanied by singer Ben Githae who said that his political affiliation was his right and he was just exercising. He said that he gained followers and gained more money from Skiza tunes following his choice to campaign for Uhuru Kenyatta.

The people who received the award were highly criticized because Kenyans did not see their contribution towards the country.
