
Ezra Chiloba has said that he will not resign and has not thought about resigning because he has a responsibility to discharge and he intends to do so.
He said that the supreme court identified issues with systems and processes as opposed to specific personnel manning the systems in the IEBC.

Ezra Chiloba advised the country saying ‘You must look for solutions that will consolidate gains for the longest time. We have to learn to build institutions for the long term.’
He said that this time it is him and the next time it will be someone else and that the IEBC as an institution must move from being a commission in constant transmission.
The CEO said that the ICT manager James Muhati was still in office and the memo was purely administrative. He stated that all institutions have protocols and that the memo did not depict the actual position of the commission.
Ezra Chiloba attributed the leaked memos to individuals that do not pay attention to due process but its a matter that is under investigation.
