    Impala Rugby Team Gets Major Boost As It Signs Deal With KETEPA, Resolution Insurance

    Kenya Tea Packers (KETEPA) Managing Director Mr Albert Otochi (left) presents a dummy cheque of Sh1 million sponsorship to the Chairman of Impala Saracen Rugby Club, Mr William Githinji, at the Impala grounds, Nairobi on Friday December 8th, 2017.     Impala Saracen Rugby team as gotten a major boost after getting sponsorship from The Kenya Tea Packers Ltd (KETEPA) as the Hydration sponsor with Maisha drinking water for a period of three years.

    The sponsorship will ensure exclusive Maisha Water brand from KETEPA is available at the Impala Saracen Rugby Club.

    KETEPA will be supplying the club with Maisha Pure bottled drinking water from January 2018 to January 2020. The water supplied will be an equivalent of about Sh1million annually.

    Speaking during the sponsorship renewal ceremony, the Managing Director of KETEPA, Mr. Albert Otochi, said his company, which is a household name in tea and water, is committed to the promotion of sport and healthy lifestyles adding that “water is life”.

    “We are proud to enter this partnership geared towards supporting the rugby players. Hydration is critical in the performance of a team and for that reason, we are sponsoring them with uninterrupted supply of water for three years,’ Mr. Otochi said.

    Resolution Insurance also renewed their Sh15million financial sponsorship with the club at the Impala Grounds, Ngong road.

    Resolution Insurance Managing Director, Alice Mwai commended the team for their stellar performance in the recent seasons.

    “We as Resolution Insurance are excited for the strides that The Impala Rugby Club has made in the recent seasons. The team has shown its strength in the different tournaments held in the recent past such as Impala Floodlights, Kenya Cup, Kabeberi 7’s and the Erick Shirley Shield (ESS Tournament) amongst others. We will continue to support the teams reach their ultimate success and remain at the top” Mwai said.

    KETEPA and Resolution Insurance reiterated that they picked Impala club for the sponsorship because of its outstanding performance in rugby and its elaborate program to nurture young talent.
