    Internet Solutions (IS) signs up as platinum sponsor for AITEC Banking & Mobile Money 2011 Conference

    Internet Solutions (IS) has signed as a platinum sponsor at the fifth annual AITEC Banking & Mobile Money COMESA Conference to be held in Nairobi over 2-3 March next year.

    Announcing his company’s sponsorship of the event, Loren Bosch, Sales Director said : “The financial services sector is an important target market for IS and through our participation at this event we will be able to network with all our existing clients in the sector – as well as attract new clients. As Nairobi moves towards establishing itself as the financial services hub for the region, effective world-class communications systems are essential – and our mission is provide such systems to all our clients, to empower them in turn to deliver world-class service to their customers.”

    The 2010 Banking & Mobile conference attracted close to 500 delegates and had over 100 expert speakers. Added to these were over 500 exhibition visitors, creating an event that had a major impact in the market, Said Sean Moroney, AITEC chairman. “With the level of industry support we are being provided for next year, such as that from IS, we will achieve an even greater level of excellence in the 2011 programme, introducing a range of new topics and speakers to meet the information needs of banks, mobile operators and other players in the financial services sector.

    Already we have over 30 top speakers confirmed for the conference programme. The emphasis of the programme is on practical experience and knowledge sharing with the objective of equipping participants with the knowledge they need to compete effectively in the rapidly evolving financial services landscape.”

    The theme of the 2011 conference is “Strategies for a new era of financial  integration” in response to the accelerated drive for regional business across borders. The East African Business Council is supporting the event as a platform to promote effective financial services to support the accelerating business drive across the region.
