    iWayAfrica Kenya Set To Expand After Deal With Callkey Networks

    iwayafricaiWayAfrica Kenya has been granted approval to acquire the terrestrial and VSAT customer base of Callkey Networks, a Nairobi-based corporate communications service provider and a subdivision of ImaraSat.

    iWayAfrica is currently available in 44 countries across Africa and prioritizes in designing, installing and operating networks to suit customers’ requirements.

    iWayAfrica partnered with CallKey to help increase its local presence and meet it 200-strong customer base.The government was also involved as they aim to improve the reach and efficiency of internet connectivity.

    The deal only adds to the ever growing competition in the internet provision sector.

    “Offering top-notch service is critical in a market that is as mature as Kenya’s. With a population approaching 44 million people; hospitals, schools, higher learning institutions and County Government require reliable and secure connectivity. iWayAfrica has the latest technology and the know-how to provide the IT solutions that these institutions need,” iWayAfrica Kenya’s Managing Director, Kenneth Munyi said.

    He added that the company will continue to invest and expand its reach to meet the ever growing demand. This includes providing quality service to all businesses across the country.

    “This market consolidation permits a step change for iWayAfrica to embrace new economies of scale and offer these benefits to the Kenyan customer,” said Munyi.

    As a result customers will be able to access a variety of internet solutions needs such as cloud data management solutions, end-point and advanced enterprise security solutions, all in line with the evolving IT space offering for data security.
