Jacy Sheldon is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the Connecticut Sun in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).
Before her professional career, she made a name for herself as a standout guard at Ohio State University, where she played college basketball from 2019 to 2024.
Selected fifth overall by the Dallas Wings in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Sheldon has quickly established herself as a promising talent in the professional league.
Beyond her athletic achievements, she serves as the Director of Player Development at Ohio State, reflecting her deep connection to the program that shaped her career.
Raised in a family steeped in athleticism, Sheldon’s journey is intertwined with the support and influence of her siblings, Ajay and Emmy Sheldon.
Siblings
Jacy is the eldest of three siblings, each contributing to a family dynamic rooted in sports and mutual inspiration.
Her younger brother, Ajay Sheldon, follows in her footsteps as a basketball player. Born two years after Jacy, Ajay is a sophomore point guard for the Ohio Bobcats at Ohio University.
Like his sister, Ajay honed his skills at Dublin Coffman High School, where he became one of the top offensive players in the state, averaging 23.5 points per game as a junior and senior.
The youngest sibling, Emmy Sheldon, is the heart of the family. Born with Down syndrome, Emmy has faced unique challenges but remains a constant source of motivation for Jacy and Ajay.
At 16 years old, Emmy is a beloved figure at both Ohio State and Ohio University games, often seen cheering from the sidelines, high-fiving players, and even playfully calling out referees.
