Businessman Jimmy Wanjigi has been charged in a Nyeri court for importing an illegal gun.

Wanjigi was represented by his lawyer, Kiogora Mugambi who said that his client would not show up in court until he knows the charges against him.

The court directed that a charge sheet be supplied to Wanjigi before he appears in court on Monday, March 5.

“They will be no need to serve him afresh. The summons are genuine and worth issued, signed and stamped. He should appear here on Monday,” the judge said.

He will be required to be in court to take a plea.
