Jirayu Tangsrisuk, widely known by his nickname James Jirayu, is a prominent Thai actor, singer, and model.
Born on September 19, 1993, in Phichit, Thailand, he is the youngest child of Sermchai Tangsrisuk and Shotika Tangsrisuk.
His parents selected the English nickname “James” inspired by the iconic character James Bond from the famous film series.
Standing at an impressive height of 1.85 meters, he has become one of Thailand’s most recognizable faces in the entertainment industry since his debut in the early 2010s.
Siblings
Jirayu has one older sister named Jurarat Tangsrisuk.
As the youngest in the family, Jirayu shares a close bond with his sister, who occasionally appears in family-related posts and moments shared by the actor on social media.
Career
Jirayu began his journey in entertainment as a model and entered the industry around 2012, initially signing with Channel 3 (now known as his long-term agency until 2025).
His breakthrough came in 2013 with the starring role as Khun Chai Puttipat in the highly popular historical romance drama series Suparburoot Jutathep (also known as Suphapburut Juthathep), which catapulted him to widespread fame and established him as a leading actor.
