Kabogo Threatens To Sue The Nairobian For Defamation

Former Kiambu Governor, William Kabogo has threatened to sue the Standard’s Friday publication, the Nairobian.

Kabogo who lost the seat to Ferdinand Waititu, former Kabete MP, says that he will sue the publication for defamation.

According to the paper, Kabogo had warned Deputy President William Ruto against expecting automatic backing from the Mt Kenya region.

”We are not political wheelbarrows to be pushed right, left and centre by anyone,” he reportedly told Thika residents.

He has rubbished the claims saying: ”People STOP! Talking bad about the DP and saying it’s Kabogo. When I want to say something I do it myself. Shame on you.”

”What do you get for defaming me? See you in court,” he said, adding that the said publication only used his name to make more sales.

”They think that useless paper will sell more if it has a story on Kabogo. Kabogo is a BRAND.”

The people behind the said article, he says are his political competitors out to tarnish his name.

”This must be sponsored by those who think I’m compee, they mess my name to increase their chances without shame. I’m good folks.”
