    The late Otieno Kajwang

The late Homa bay Senator Otieno Kajwang’s widows are locked in a legal and family tussle over his vast wealth.

The two, Dr. Rose Bujehela Otieno and Faith Vivian Otieno, both claiming to be the late senator’s widows have taken the battle to Court with family said to have taken sides.

According to sources, Ajwang’, the late Senator’s father recognizes Faith Vivian over Bujehela and is said to have thrown his weight over the woman who came into the scene when the boisterous Nyakwar Nyakwmba demised three years ago.

Rose on the other hand claims she was married in church and her late husband could not have contracted another marriage.

“I have refused to recognize Faith as a widow or wife of my late husband and I continue to do so,” she stated in one of her affidavits but adds that she has no intention of disinheriting any of the deceased’s children or any beneficiaries provided they are legally valid.
Faith claims she cohabited with Kajwang’ from 1994 to 2000 when her bride price was allegedly paid as per Luo customs and who has two children with the late has rubbished her co-wife terming her sentiments as “denial.”
“Her denial that I was married to the deceased is only self-serving and meant to disinherit me,”

The case is set to be heard early next year.
