Kalonzo arrives in London for House of Commons, Chatham House engagements

Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka arrived in London, United Kingdom, for a series of official engagements focused on strengthening economic partnerships and promoting investment opportunities in Kenya and the wider East African region.
Musyoka, who also leads The Ukombozi Alliance party, arrived on Monday, October 12, ahead of engagements at the House of Commons and Chatham House.
He was scheduled to attend a special evening reception at the House of Commons hosted by the Westminster Africa Business Group in partnership with the Eastern Africa Association.
The reception, for which Conservative MP Gavin Williamson is the host, will be held under the theme “Kenya as a Regional Financial Hub and the Future of East African Capital Markets.”
It will bring together stakeholders to discuss Kenya’s position as a regional financial centre, the mobilisation of African capital to finance the continent’s development, and opportunities to deepen trade and investment ties between Kenya, the United Kingdom and the international community.
On Tuesday, October 13, Musyoka is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at Chatham House titled “The Opposition’s Outlook and Policy Agenda on the Road to 10 August 2027.”
The address is expected to outline his perspectives on Kenya’s political and economic future, as well as the opposition’s policy priorities ahead of the 2027 General Election.
According to a statement issued by Wiper Patriotic Front spokesperson Ndegwa Njiru, the London engagements are aimed at advancing international partnerships, strengthening Kenya’s economic prospects and presenting the opposition’s policy agenda as the country approaches the next general election.
