Kalonzo Vows To Work With President Uhuru Kenyatta

Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has vowed to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta, following the ‘respect and support he has shown during the grieving period’.

Kalonzo was speaking during his father’s burial, Mzee Mairu Musyoka, in Tseikuru, where he said no one should separate him from Uhuru from today henceforth.

Nataka kutangaza hapa mbele yenu, kutoka leo nisiwai ona mtu akinitenganisha na kakangu Uhuru Kenyatta (I want to announce before you, let me never see anybody separating me from my brother Uhuru Kenyatta),” said Kalonzo amidst cheers.

The burial of Mzee was dominated by unity, security, development with few leaders engaging in political talks.

Opposition leaders who spoke at the event endorsed the famous March handshake between Raila Odinga and President Kenyatta, saying that all leaders should unite for the country to move forward.

Among those who spoke include ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Baringo Senator Gedion Moi, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Deputy President William Ruto, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu among others.

Former Presidents Mwai Kibaki and Daniel Moi also sent their condolences.
