    KCSE Candidate Arrested And Detained For Writing Plot To Kill President Uhuru And Duale In An Exam

    A KCSE candidate has been arrested after his English paper one on functional skills was based on a plot to kill President Uhuru Kenyatta and Garissa Township MP Aden Duale.

    The said student from the Elimu Bora Secondary School in Mandera East was arrested and charged with treason. The Examiners came across the paper while arranging for commencement of marking.

    The student was arraigned in court with the magistrate ordering that he be subjected to a mental assessment before the case is mentioned.

    Candidates from this year have displayed unruly behaviour, Students from Ambira High School were also arraigned in court for insulting education CS Amina Mohamed and interior CS Fred Matiang’i.

    Earlier in the year the education sector faced the challenge of students torching down school property leaving millions worth of damages.
