KDF Jungle Trousers Among Items Recovered as Police Arrest Suspected Burglar in Nakuru

Police have arrested a 27-year-old man suspected of being behind a series of house break-ins in Tabuga and its environs in Nakuru County.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said the suspect, identified as Calvin Okoli Ndimu, was arrested during an intelligence-led operation in Free Area.
According to the DCI, officers from Githioro Police Station raided the suspect’s house following intelligence linking him to a string of burglaries reported in the area over the past two months.
A subsequent search uncovered an assortment of items suspected to have been stolen during the break-ins.
The recovered items included two 43-inch television screens, two TV stands, three subwoofers, assorted clothing, bedding and footwear.
Officers also recovered a pair of Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) jungle trousers, a homemade toy gun, one live round and blank ammunition of calibre 7.62×51mm.
The DCI said most of the recovered items had already been positively identified by their rightful owners.
“Investigations are ongoing to establish the full extent of the suspect’s alleged criminal activities and determine whether he is linked to other reported cases,” the DCI said.
The suspect remains in custody as police process the case ahead of his arraignment in court.
