Kenya Airways warns of baggage delays due to Mumbai flight disruptions

Kenya Airways Sunday notified passengers of operational challenges affecting flights to and from Mumbai due to airspace restrictions linked to ongoing regional conflict and adverse weather conditions along the route.

The airline said the restrictions have forced aircraft to carry additional fuel to meet safety requirements, which has reduced the capacity available for baggage on affected flights.

As a result, some passengers’ luggage may not arrive on the same flight and could be delivered on a later connection.

Kenya Airways apologised for the inconvenience caused and said teams at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and in Mumbai are working to reconnect delayed baggage with passengers as quickly as possible.

The airline urged affected travellers to reach out for assistance through its customer support channels.

Passengers can contact the airline’s Customer Excellence Team on +254 711 024 747, via WhatsApp on +254 705 474 747, or through X at @KQSupport for updates on their baggage and travel arrangements.

The US and Israel war against Iran has disrupted flights in the Middle East for more than a week grounding many.
