Kenya Power Announces Five-Hour Contact Centre Disruption on Sunday Night
Kenya Power has announced a five-hour suspension of telephone services at its contact centre on Sunday night due to scheduled system maintenance.
In a statement on Friday, the company said the maintenance would run from midnight on Sunday, October 11, to 5am on Monday, October 12, 2026.
“Dear Esteemed Customer, please note that we will carry out a system maintenance on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 12:00 a.m. (midnight) to 5:00 a.m.,” Kenya Power said.
The company warned that customers would be unable to reach its contact centre through telephone calls during the maintenance period.
However, other communication channels, including email, social media, the *977# service and the MyPower App, will remain available.
Kenya Power apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused by the planned maintenance.
