Kenya Power Announces Week-Long Maintenance in Roysambu and Githurai

Kenya Power has announced planned maintenance works in parts of Nairobi this week, with residents in Roysambu and Githurai expected to be affected.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the utility company said its teams are undertaking maintenance on various transformers in the two areas under the Boresha Roysambu exercise.
The maintenance works are scheduled to run throughout the week from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the exercise expected to continue until Saturday.
“Our teams are carrying out planned maintenance works on various transformers in the Roysambu and Githurai areas this week, under the Boresha Roysambu exercise. The works are running this week from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until Saturday,” Kenya Power said.
The company said the exercise is focused on maintaining the electricity distribution network and addressing issues that could affect reliable power supply in the affected areas.
The maintenance of transformers is part of efforts to improve the performance of the electricity network and minimise supply interruptions linked to equipment faults.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding as our teams carry out the exercise,” Kenya Power said.
