Kenya Railways police seem to be a busy lot, after sources intimated to Kahawa Tungu that they have been arresting passengers for using their mobile phones after alighting from the trains.
The police also arrested railway staff for the same ‘offense’ yet the regulations for using the mode of transport have not sensitized the train users or the staff on this rule yet the railway police are quick to pounce on passengers who are unaware of such regulations.
The passengers have to part with Sh. 3000 thousand to be released from the police station.

The passengers complained that they were being arrested for using their phones at the stations yet the real muggers are roaming free in the streets harassing Kenyans.
The passengers have said that the police should have their priorities right and that the Kenya Railway should sensitize passengers on new rules rather than harassing them.
