Kenya Railways Suspends Nairobi Train Services
Kenya Railways has suspended commuter train services on several Nairobi routes due to safety concerns arising from ongoing protests in the city.
In a public notice issued on Wednesday, the company announced that train services between Nairobi and Ruiru, Embakasi Village, Lukenya, and Syokimau would be temporarily halted.
“We are compelled to take these precautionary measures because the safety of our customers is of paramount importance to us,” the statement said.
The agency added that normal services will resume once conditions allow and apologized to passengers for any inconvenience caused.
Nairobi has witnessed protests in various parts, prompting the precautionary move to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
