Kenyan Made New Mobius II is Here and it is Functional and Affordable

Local vehicle manufacturer, Mobius Motors has unveiled the second version of its utility vehicle, New Mobius II.

The utility vehicle is a major improvement from the first version Mobius I but still retails for a maximum of Ksh 1.5million of fully personalised.

The Mobius vehicles have no fancy or luxuries components available in other cars. The dial is simple, no allow rims, airbags, corner lights or eyesight vehicle assist technology.

The vehicle will retail at Ksh 950,000 before taxation while the most expensive version is Ksh 1,5million after taxation.

Founded by Joel Jackson, a computer engineer, Mobius Motors started building off-road vehicles in 2009 in Mombasa before relocating to Nairobi.

The new version boast of 35cm ground clearance and a load capacity of 625kg. The body is supported by a robust steel space-frame mounted onto a ladder chassis for passenger protection and optimal weight balancing across the vehicle.

It has a 4-cylinder 16 Valves VVT 1,798cc petrol engine with 55 litres fuel capacity. It is a 3 door 5 passengers capacity car.

 

The functional affordability employed in the build of the car is for the African market.
