After blowing her own trumpet, let me help her as she is about to retire for the weekend. Our self–confessed Nairobi Prostitute, Sue, has been nominated for a blogging award through the Deutsche Welle Best of Blogs Award. There are 17 categories representing also 11 languages in the awards. 6 categories are multi-lingual but 11 categories has best blog in a specific language.

Nairobi Nights has been nominated in the Best Blog English category. She is competing against 10 other blogs including Mona Eltahawy’s Blog , Rantings of A Sand Monkey (came to limelight during the Egyptian revolution) and Mobile Active. Mona might get the upper hand because of she being considered in the social media and in the west as the voice of the arab mind. She explains the Arab to others.

Nairobi Nights now has 6% of the already cast votes. This vote will not only make an impact on how Kenyan bloggers are viewed but will open doors which are yet to be opened in social acceptance. Nairobi Nights profiles the mind, life and experiences of a Kenyan prostitute operating in the Red Light Streets, Brothers, Prive Pick-Ups and documents her experience of using sex as a resource.

Vote for Nairobi Nights . You will need to login with your Facebook or Twitter account.
