Kenyans on social media yesterday took issue with Kenya Defence Forces getting involved in politics which is a civilian affair.
NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his Deputy Kalonzo Musyoka yesterday revealed what they termed as plan by KDF to harass voters and rig the election for President Uhuru, providing documents of correspondences to prove the collusion.
However, KDF quickly refuted the claims, claiming the documents NASA had were authentic, but were being used out of context.
KDF maintained the operation plan contained the documents are meant to keep law and order during the coming election.
It should not be forgotten, however, that keeping law and order is not the work of Kenya Defence Forces, but the National Police.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and Defence cabinet secretary Raychelle Omamo have come out to also dismiss the claims by NASA.
For peace to prevail in this Country KDF MUST keep off the elections. That is the LAW. KDF MUST KEEP off the elections #KDFKeepOffElections
