Robert Chemgas, a third year student at Kenyatta university has moved to court to stop the Deputy President William Ruto from giving a public lecture at the institution.

The Deputy president was invited to Kenyatta University to give a public lecture on the journey to success.

The student said that the DP was an academic fraud, irredeemably corrupt and a person of loose morals. He also said that he did not qualify to lecture scholars on anything.

The academic secretary however said that the matter is under investigation adding that students could not interfere with the institution’s plans.

The lecture was to take place on July 12 from 9 AM to 12 PM.

Ruto has been questioned on the source of his wealth but he has often said that the myths surrounding his wealth will be demystified by the lifestyle audit.

It is unclear whether the deputy president will still honor the invitation even after the court case.
