Kimani Ngunjiri, Bahati Mp, allegedly beat up an Independent parliamentary candidate, James Mbugua who is also vying for the Bahati parliamentary seat.
Mbugua was admitted to hospital on the night of 11 June after he was thrashed by his rival during a radio interview at the Ithaga Fm studios.
The two had been invited for a discussion articulating their manifestos. Mbugua is said to have hit a raw nerve and sent the temperamental MP into a rage.
The legislator, according to witnesses, battered his handicapped opponent, pulled his prosthetic leg and used it as a weapon.
The beat-down was so bad that Mbugua was rushed to hospital with some serious injuries.
Kimani who was also part of the ‘Pangani six’ was in 2013 arrested for assaulting a female traffic police officer.
The aspirant lost the Jubilee ticket to Ngunjiri at the Jubilee primaries in Nakuru county last month.
