KMTC Issues Urgent Notice to Students

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has issued an urgent notice to its 2025 graduating class, warning that Wednesday, December 17, is the final day to collect graduation certificates.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the institution urged all graduates who have not yet collected their certificates to visit the KMTC Headquarters in Nairobi before the deadline expires.

KMTC said students must first complete all clearance procedures before being issued with their certificates. The clearance process includes settling any outstanding fees, returning borrowed library books and equipment, and meeting all other college requirements.

“This is the final day to collect your certificates. Graduates who have not picked up their documents should report to the KMTC Headquarters in Nairobi before the collection window closes,” the college said.

The institution warned that failure to collect certificates within the set deadline could lead to delays and other complications in future.

KMTC encouraged affected graduates to act immediately to secure their academic documents, describing the notice as a final reminder.

The announcement comes less than two weeks after the government revealed plans to expand financial support for KMTC students.

During the 94th KMTC Graduation Ceremony held at Kasarani on December 4, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki announced that funding from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) would be extended to cover all KMTC students.

He said the Ministries of Health, Education, and Treasury would meet to agree on a funding framework to ensure no KMTC student is left out of government support.

“I will be convening the relevant ministries to agree on a formula on how we can start supporting KMTC students to access funding,” Kindiki said.
