Several government agencies, universities and public institutions have announced new job opportunities for qualified Kenyans, with applications opening for positions ranging from senior management and academic roles to technical and support jobs.

Kenya Re Announces New Job Opportunities
Kenya Reinsurance Corporation Limited (Kenya Re) has announced several vacancies across different departments.
In a notice dated September 8, 2026, the corporation said it is seeking to recruit a General Manager, Internal Audit; General Manager, Kenya Re Foundation; Chief Representative, Rwanda Liaison Office; Assistant Manager, Research and Development; Assistant Manager, Marketing and Development; Assistant Manager, Actuarial; Senior Actuarial Officer; Claims Officer; and Assistant Administrator, Rwanda Liaison Office.
One position is available for each of the advertised roles.
The positions will be offered either on permanent and pensionable terms or on contract terms, in accordance with Kenya Re’s Human Resource Policy and Procedures Manual.

KNBS Advertises Deputy Director Positions
The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) has also invited applications for three senior positions.
The vacancies are Deputy Director, Cartography/Geographic Information System; Deputy Director, Administration; and Deputy Director, Legal Services/Corporation Secretary.
One position is available for each role.

Taita Taveta University Hiring Academic Staff
Taita Taveta University (TTU) has announced vacancies for academic and technical positions.
The university is recruiting a Professor in Agriculture, Ecology, Environmental Sciences and Natural Resource Management; Senior Lecturer in Zoology/Animal Science; Technologist III in Agriculture; Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer positions in Computer Science and Cyber Security; and academic positions in Educational Administration and Educational Psychology.
The university is also recruiting a Lecturer in Educational Psychology, among other positions, including a re-advertised Tutorial Fellow role in Comparative and International Education, Philosophy of Education and Educational Psychology.
The positions are offered on permanent and pensionable terms.
However, the Tutorial Fellow position will be offered on a three-year contract, renewable once subject to performance and progress towards attaining a PhD. The successful candidate will be expected to obtain a PhD during the additional period.

National Biosafety Authority Seeks New CEO
The National Biosafety Authority (NBA) has advertised the position of Chief Executive Officer.
The Authority said details of the position, including the job description, person specifications, competencies and skills required, are available on the National Biosafety Authority website.
