KPL Super Cup Pushed Back And Returned To Nairobi
The Kenyan Premier League Super Cup fixture between Gor Mahia and Kariobangi Sharks has been pushed back to this Sunday a day earlier than it was initially scheduled.
The new season 2018-19 curtain raiser has also been re-booked at the Kasarani Stadium from the Machakos’ Kenyatta Stadium.
The two clubs, who are the Kenya’s representatives in the CAF interclubs this season have agreed to the changes.
“We had a talk with Kariobangi Sharks last night and we agreed we better have the match on Sunday at Kasarani,” Gor’s boss Ambrose Rachier told the club’s official website.
K’Ogalo edged out Nyasa Big Bullets 1-0 in the CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg match Wednesday while Kariobangi Sharks walloped Djibouti’s Arta Solar 6-1 in the Confederation Cup a day earlier at the Kasarani Stadium.

The two teams will travel for the return legs Monday as confirmed to the club’s website by the treasurer Sally Bolo.
“Gor Mahia and Kariobangi Sharks are having their traveling plans to away matches on Monday and Sunday is good with us being that the match will be played in Nairobi,” Bolo noted.
Sharks will face Asante Kotoko of Ghana while Gor will face either Lobi Stars of Nigeria or Cameroon’s UMS de Loum in they sail through to the following round.
