Former Kenya Airways Finance Director Alex Mbugua was denied entry to KQ offices on Wednesday.
This follows a directive issued by the Labour Court ordering Mbugua to be reinstated and granted access to the company starting Wednesday.
According to the former director, he showed up to work early Wednesday morning but was stopped from by security officials.
“I was blocked from driving into the employees’ parking lot or walking to my office. I was instead instructed to wait at the security bay,” Mbugua said.
From there he says he was issued a letter by the security manager directing him to go on compulsory leave for 21 days.

The airline says they are still yet to come up with a decision on how to deal with the former finance director situation.
Furthermore, KQ is now dawned with the task of of sorting out the directive issued by Judge Monica Mbaru.
“The claimant is hereby reinstated… to his position without loss of benefits and any lawful entitlement to be paid within 30 days,” Lady Judge Mbaru ordered.
As a result, the airline will be forced to either reinstate and compensate Mbugua for his time spent out of work or agree on a settlement payable over the course of four years.
The former director has been in court contesting his sacking from the national carrier following its poor financial performance which saw a loss of Sh29.7 billion in 2014-2015.
