KQ Plane Hit By Tow Track At Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Photo)

A Kenya Airways (KQ) plane was on Sunday evening damaged in what was described as an unfortunate incident at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

According to the national courier, a tow truck hit the right side of the Boeing 737-800 plane causing damage to the fuselage.

The incident happened as the aircraft was being pushed back from the bay damaging part of its fuselage and engine.

“The incident involving an airport tow truck happened during push back of the aircraft from the bay damaging part of its fuselage and engine” , said KQ in a statement.

There were no injuries reported.

The flight that was scheduled to fly to Johannesburg was later cancelled to allow for further investigations.

KQ has assured its passengers of its air-crafts safety.
