KRA Announces 36-Hour Maintenance of Customs System

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced a planned maintenance exercise on its Integrated Customs Management System (iCMS), which will temporarily disrupt customs services.
In a notice issued on Friday, February 6, KRA said the maintenance will last 36 hours, starting from Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 6.00pm to Monday, February 9, 2026 at 6.00am.
“We wish to inform Partner Government Agencies, Importers, Exporters, Clearing Agents, Shipping lines, and the general public of scheduled major maintenance for the Integrated Customs Management System (iCMS) to enhance performance starting on Saturday, 7th February, 2026, from 1800hrs to Monday, 9th February, 2026, 0600Hrs (36 hours),”KRA said.
KRA said the maintenance is aimed at improving system performance, faster transaction processing and better user experience for all customs operations.
The authority urged partner government agencies, importers, exporters, clearing agents, shipping lines and members of the public to submit urgent declarations, complete payments and prioritise the clearance of perishable and time-sensitive goods before the maintenance begins on Saturday evening.
KRA apologised for any inconvenience the exercise may cause, saying the improvements will help enhance service delivery in the long run.
