A KRA official based in Eldoret was found dead at his house in Kapsoya estate on Saturday morning, under unknown circumstances.
Mr Francis Nyabuto’s body was discovered after neighbors noticed a foul smell coming from his house and alerted the police.
Eldoret East police boss Richard Omanga confirmed the incident and said that it appeared the official had passed on several days ago.
“We are conducting investigations to establish the cause of his death,” Omanga said.
The body of the deceased was found in the house covered in a blanket and the door locked from outside.
Police were forced to break into the house, where they discovered the body.
The body had no visible marks of injuries.
Mr Nyabuto was the assistant regional commissioner for KRA in Eldoret.
