KURA Announces Temporary Traffic Disruption Along Mlolongo-Kamulu Road
The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has announced a temporary traffic disruption along the Mlolongo-Kamulu, also known as Quarry Road, starting Thursday, October 1, 2026.
The disruption will remain in place until Tuesday, December 1, 2026, to allow a contractor to undertake essential construction works along the affected section.
KURA said motorists using the road will be required to use alternative routes during the construction period.
Light and medium vehicles will be diverted through Syokimau-Katani Road, while Syokimau-Parliament Road will also serve light and medium vehicles.
Heavy commercial vehicles will be diverted through Tuffoam Road.
Motorists have been urged to exercise caution when approaching the affected section and follow traffic signs and directions issued by police officers and traffic marshals stationed at the site.
The traffic officers and marshals will help manage vehicle movement and minimise disruptions during the construction works.
“KURA regrets any inconvenience this may cause and thanks the public for their cooperation as we continue working to transform urban mobility,” KURA said.
