LeAnn Rimes Cancels Two U.S. Shows After Severe Illness

LeAnn Rimes has announced the cancellation of two upcoming performances in the United States after falling ill, just days after marking her 15th wedding anniversary in Mexico.

The Grammy-winning singer revealed on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday that she will no longer perform in Spokane, Washington, on April 30, and Seattle on May 1, citing health concerns.

“Due to severe illness, I am unable to travel & perform this week,” the 43-year-old wrote.

Rimes apologised to fans for the disruption, adding that both shows would be rescheduled for a later date. “I am truly heartbroken to have to reschedule and I am so very grateful for your kindness, and continued support as I recover,” she said. She added that she is looking forward to returning to the stage “very soon.”

The announcement comes shortly after Rimes and her husband, actor Eddie Cibrian, celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary during a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The couple, who married on April 22, 2011, shared glimpses of their getaway on social media.

However, the singer also hinted that the romantic escape came amid personal challenges at home.

“We got to step away for 3 days amidst work and some very tense, heart wrenching things happening at home with family,” she wrote. “It’s been a different anniversary, one filled with tears and worry, but in between, there were moments of laughter and deep gratitude for this love of ours.”

Reflecting on their long marriage, Rimes described their relationship as one built on resilience. “Day by day, we walk hand in hand through the rollercoaster of life… and god, I’m so grateful that it’s with each other,” she added, noting that the couple has “been through so much” over the years.

In a separate anniversary message, she again alluded to ongoing health struggles, writing with humour: “15 years of loving you… I have new vows… in perimenopause and in health, with teeth and without.”

Rimes’ recent health update follows a viral moment last month in which she was seen visibly emotional during a “deep jaw release therapy” session shared by wellness provider Human Garage.
