KPL – Leopards Rare Win Over Sony To Crawl Out Of Relegation

AFC Leopards edged out Sony Sugar 1-0 at the Bukhungu Stadium to end a painful six-game losing streak in the Kenyan Premier League on Saturday.

Wayi Yeka grabbed the important goal after being set up by Whyvonne Isuza in the 50th minute to hand Rwandan coach Andre Cassa Mbungo his first league win since joining the den.

The victory takes Ingwe to 15th in the league standings with 13 points two places clear of the automatic relegation zone.

In the other notable results on Saturday, leaders Bandari were held to a barren draw by visiting Mathare United in Mombasa while Kakamega Homeboyz compounded Mt. Kenya relegation woes – hammering them 6-0.
