    Machakos witch doctor has been released by the court after police failed to produce sufficient evidence linking her to a car theft syndicate.

    The prosecution made an application to drop the case stating that the police had not gotten enough evidence to sustain the car theft charge.

    “Police have not found enough evidence to sustain a criminal case,” prosecutor Ms Adeline Rugoto told Nairobi Senior Resident Magistrate Elector Riani

    She said that Annah Mutheu should be refunded her bail of sh. 150000. Police had pounced on the witch doctor last week wher they allegedly found 112 identity card and three cars which they believed were stolen.

    The police said that they had received the information on the car theft allegations from members of the public.
