A man was arrested over the murder of his brother in Soweto, Kayole, Nairobi.
The man is said to have killed his brother Peter Wahome in a dispute in their house. The two lived together in the area before the murder happened on January 27, 2026.
The motive of the murder is yet to be known, police said.
After the murder, the suspect cleaned blood stains in the house and changed his clothes which he hid in the roof of their bathroom.
The clothes were recovered and kept as exhibits.
The body had stab wounds in the chest. The brother claimed he and the deceased were attacked on the road as they headed to their house.
The body which was found in the house was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures, police said.
Elsewhere in Masinga, Machakos County, a night guard was found murdered outside his place of work. Police identified the deceased as Boniface Muathe, 29. He was said to have been attacked by a gang that was trying to access the place he was working.
His body was found outside the premises long after the murder, police said.
Police said the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.
In Nyamache, Kisii County, one Abel Moranga, 65 was found dead on the roadside and in a pool of blood. It is believed he was attacked as he left a funeral vigil in the area. The motive of the murder was not immediately known, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
In Jebrok, Vihiga County, a suspect was arrested over a murder incident that happened in Kondele area, Kisumu County. This followed a road rage incident last weekend where a man was fatally stabbed.
Police said the suspect was driven to Kondele for processing for prosecution.
